Burping mainly happens when we swallow too much air. It is one of the ways your body removes too much gas from your tummy. The big sound while burping is quite embarrassing at times. And, one has to admit that continuously burping when people are around you can make a situation real embarrassing, agree? In reality, burping is not really a big-deal, until you make it. Sometimes it is really good but if you’ve the habit of it, then yeah it can be irritating and equally awkward.

So, to cut that habit off, here are simple home remedies to prevent burps.

  1. Mint Tea

Mint tea can be helpful for a number of ways e.g. it detoxifies the body, it can treat bad breath, also boosts the immune system and it can deal with digestion and burping problem.

Method: – Boil a cup of water. Now, put some fresh mint leaves in it. Allow it to steep for about 4-5 minutes. Once everything is done, enjoy your tea. Continue drinking it twice daily. (Morning-Afternoon)

  1. Lemon + Baking Soda

Lemon’s acidic properties can cure the digestive problems easily. Lemon also gives the immune system boost. On the other side, Baking soda can reduce the indigestion and heartburn quickly.

Method: – Take a tablespoon of Lemon Juice and put 1/4th spoon of baking soda into it. Now mix it altogether in a glass of water. Once you are done with your dinner, drink the prepared mixture quickly.

  1. Chamomile Tea

Well, chamomile is an herb that is being used since centuries. Chamomile tea’s can easily treat the upset stomach and it can prevent belching as well.

Method: – Boil a cup of water and now put chamomile tea bag into it. Now, let it steep for about 5-6 minutes. Later, remove the tea bag and enjoy your tea. Continue drinking chamomile tea at-least twice daily.

  1. Anise Seeds

These seeds are used to prevent problems like bloating, stomach pain, indigestion etc.

Method: – Crush few anise seeds and add them in the boiled cup of water. Let it steep for about 4-5 minutes and then strain it. Continue drinking it twice daily. Or simply chew Anise seeds after you are done with your meal.

  1. Asafetida

It can treat many stomach related problems quickly in time. Treating problems like indigestion, intestinal worms and upset stomach are some of them.

Method: – Take few seeds or Asafetida or take the crushed powder and put it inside a cup of water. Mix it thoroughly and later drink the water. Continue drinking it twice daily to avoid burping.

  1. Ginger

It can reduce stomach related problems plus it can reduce the pain and morning sickness as well.

Method: – Put few ginger slices into the boiled water. Now steep it for about 5-6 minutes and then strain it. Now add lemon juice and honey into it. Mix it together and drink it. Continue drinking it twice daily.
